Member Update October 2021

Grounds Work

Further to my email last week, a quick reminder that grounds work will be undertaken later this week on the 21st and 22nd October. This will involve trimming of the tree line with consideration of the appropriate tree preservation orders. The hedge line will also be cut back to ensure ease of access behind the courts for ongoing grounds upkeep. The schedule has been planned to ensure that a number of courts remain in play whilst the work is undertaken, but members are advised that there will undoubtedly be an element of noise throughout each day. This work will improve the preservation of the court playing areas and reduce the impact of extreme weather on the Courts and building, whilst also improving the general presentation of the Club.

COVID 19

With the rising number of cases of COVD 19, locally and throughout the UK we ask that members follow the following guidance:

Return to wearing masks in the Clubhouse building except whilst playing Tennis on the Indoor Courts.

Book for all Mix-Ins and Club organised sessions to ensure an accurate contact record for all attendees.

Before attending any tennis activity, players should self-assess for symptoms of COVID-19. These are; high Temperature, new continuous Cough, loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. If you have one or more of these symptoms, please get a PRC test to check if you have COVID -19 & refrain from visiting the Club until a clear test is confirmed.

Follow good Hygiene practices to reduce the risk of transmission.
